Born and raised in Tampa, DAN is a 30+ year veteran of the wholesale building materials industry, a self-taught guitarist, and an emerging artist. His business is affectionately named ARTaritavillE for his love of art, music, good times, and the Gulf Coast.
Sadly, DAN was plagued with degenerative osteoarthritis and severe spinal stenosis. While his mobility became more and more limited, he discovered painting helped ease his pain, both physically and mentally. DAN was happy to see his art bring so much joy to others. That joy inspired him to take his painting journey to the next level where he opened ARTaritavillE Art Gallery located on Main Street in Safety Harbor, Florida. Due to the pandemic and his declining health (he had four major surgeries within a year and a half), in 2020, the difficult decision was made to close his gallery doors.
The wind has taken DAN and his wife to Lexington, Kentucky where he continues to create his funky colorful ART in his home studio. His art is in a league of its own. Ranging from impressionism to pointillism, abstract to pop art, plus everything in between. His work can be found hanging in homes, galleries, boutiques, restaurants and offices across the country, even internationally!
